ok - I'm well up for Kerry tonight - so in the spirit of all things liberal, these are my two sites for today:

Link problem
I've cleaned up all the links from my recent entries, so the links should work as per usual again. One quick update on yesterday's other post. There are a couple of teething problems with Business and Commerce's servers at the mo, so it can currently be found at www.business-and-commerce.com

As I said yesterday, comments greatly appreciated on this, so feel free to add one or drop me a mail

PS - haven't had a chance to fix any recent links in my personal blog, but I'll get around to them later today....

Interesting site
www.business-and-commerce.com
This site belongs to a friend of mine, and I'd greatly appreciate any opinions people might have on it - either add a comment below, or send me a mail at mailto:wardneil@eircom.net (for those of you that don't already have the address!). Business and Commerce is a new Dublin-based newspaper, designed for the business community. The site is far from finished, but there are some interesting articles, which I thought were well worth a look. As I say, comments on this would be cool!!

Thanks,

Neil

Write a Novel in November
http://www.nanowrimo.org/
This site is a brilliant idea, methinks! The idea is that you write a 50,000 word novel over the course of the month of November. It's all about quantity, not quality, and at the end of the month, you'll be able to tell everyone that you have written a novel. I think it's one of the most original ideas I've heard of in years, and I for one am definitely signing up!.

PS - I got the link for this from Elimare's blog, which can be found at http://www.p45blogs.net/stuffin/ and is always worth a read!

My favourite TV shows!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/doctorwho/
The official BBC Doctor Who site, the countdown to the new series (March 2005) has begun....

I want it back, I want it back! Sadly, in February, we said goodbye to Oz, one of my favourite TV shows of all time, and the first I know of that portrayed an openly gay couple in a long term relationship (admittedly it was a fucked up one, but Keller and Beecher made a cute couple!!)

Without a doubt, my new favourite show. My first thought when I saw the first episode of the first series was "Finally, the Americans GET irony". Blackly hilarious, every minute of it is ingenious!

Another show I love, intelligent, well-written drama at its very, very best.

Finally Amanda Burton has left, and things looked up for this series. Unfortunately, it has come to an end until next year, but here's hoping they can pick up from where things got left off this year

Quite easily, the best British comedy of the last few years. From the makers of Smack the Pony, this is comedy as black as it gets, bringing back happy memories of a very black C4 or BBC2 comedy of a few years back (the name currently escapes me, but I'm wracking my brain, and I'll post a comment when I think of it!)
